Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between your work and Jungian analysis?
My work is for those working on their own dreams that are either in analysis and would like an additional reading or those not in traditional Jungian therapy that want some extra help from someone well-versed in symbol and myth. Dream readings are a good fit for individuals who are containing their own inner process but understand the value of an extra set of eyes on their dream material.
Is your work considered a form of therapy?
Dream readings are not therapy in the traditional sense. While traditional therapy founded on a medical model of doctors healing patients has its place, Dream Movements begins with the foundation that your being and your dreams are already in a state of health. Like a midwife, my role is to assist you in bringing unconscious contents into the light. However, because dreamwork can bring forward trauma or unresolved issues from the past, dreamwork done in conjunction with traditional therapy can be a powerful catalyst for inner transformation.
Do you offer in-person work?
Although most of my clients choose a written reading, some clients prefer to work one-on-one via zoom. For new clients, click here to book an initial free 15 minute phone call.
